    • Sinning Vermessungsbedarf on the Africa Rail 2011

      Infrabel Belgum

In Johannesburg, the biggest city of South Africa, the Africa Rail 2011 took place from 29th until 30th of June. We were also present on Africa’s most important and biggest exhibition for transport solutions. Together with colleagues of Optron Geomatics, Trimble distributor in South Africa, we presented our solutions regarding track measurement. The system GEDO CE received great interest.

    • Speed record in China

      Infrabel Belgum

On December 3rd, 2010 a new rail speed record was made in china. During test runs on the line between Beijing and Shanghai a speed of 486 km/h was reached. This railway line was built and adjusted using Sinning rail measurement systems. The SPS adjustment system for FF Boegl slab tracks was used for slab adjustment and the GEDO CE rail measurement trolley was used for the final inspection. As soon as the high speed railway between Beijing and Shanhai is opened for public transportation in 2012 the trains will actually drive a little slower.
The current record is held by a specially modified TGV that reached a top speed of 574.8 km/h on the line between Strasbourg and Paris. But unlike the mentioned TGV the Chinese train was a unmodified standard passenger train that will be used for passanger transportation. So there is a new record for the fastest speed recorded by an unmodified commercial train. The main goal of the Chinese railway officials is it to reach speeds over 500 km/h.

    • First GEOD CE Vorsys System delivered to Belgium

After extensive tests the belgian railroad company Infrabel made the decision for the rail measurement system GEDO CE Vorsys. Especially the flexible application and the high productivity were the decisive factors on deciding so. Ths system is supposed to be used for the mapping of existing railroad tracks as well as for tamping measurements. The Trimble GNSS Receiver that are in use at Infrabel can be perfactly combinated with the procedure of the GEDO CE Vorsys measurement. Reference Points measured with the GNSS Receiver can be used directly for the following GEDO CE Vorsys measurement.
The project is processed and handled by our belgian partner Couderé bvba. The belgian railroad company Infrabel operates and developes the whole railroad infrastructure and organizes the vehicle operation in Belgium. Infrabel is a private corporation that is owned to 8% by the Belgium country and about 90% are owned by the SNBC. However 80% of the voting shares belog to the Belgium country what thereby ensures the independence.

  • Sinning track surveying systems on the "Modern Railway Exhibition" in Shanghai

On the "Modern Railway Exhibition" in Shanghai (www.modernrailways.com.cn) our partner Wellfound has presented itself on a modern stand. In addition to the track measurement system GEDO CE, systems for the set-up of plates for the FF Bögl Slab Track system and the Japanese system for building slab track have been presented, which had been localized and developed further in cooperation with Wellfound. The exhibition was a great success. Thus, not only visitors from China, but also from all parts of the world showed great interest. Sinning is currently the only producer who offers measuring systems for all relevant systems used for building slab track.

  • GEDO CE - Assignment in China
The GEDO CE track measurement system is the first choice in China, due to its very high accuracy, its reliability and its highly effective compatibility of its onboard software.
Our partner in China is the well known Wellfound corporation (www.wellfound.com.cn).
The GEDO CE track measurement system is used - among others - in two major projects: A-B (Zueblin Line) and C-D (Railone Line) for slab track construction. For each project more than 500 kilometers are being measured. In the years to come more projects are already scheduled with several thousand kilometers of slab track, using the GEDO CE system.

  • Exhibition report: Intergeo 2008
The Intergeo took place from 30th of September until 2nd of October in Bremen. Among other things we presented not only the track measuring system GEDO CE, but also our special product range of accessories for surveying.
There was an almost overwhelming stream of visitors, specifically on the first two days, and we were able to have many informative talks. The new edition of our catalogue for surveying accessories* has been published in time for the exhibition.
We would like to thank everybody who has visited us at our stand, as well as our partners and colleagues, without whom such a successful and productive exhibition would not have been possible.

  • Exhibition report: InnoTrans 2008
The InnoTrans took place from 22nd until 26th of September in Berlin. This was the first time we have exhibited there.
We presented the track measuring system GEDO CE with the option Vorsys, which is perfectly suited for reference point based pre-surveying for tamping machines.
Its outstanding flexibility and cost-effectiveness was well received not only among our German visitors, but also very much among our international visitors.
